Lana Del Rey directs and stars in the new clip - taken from her upcoming album, Blue Banisters.
A month after the release of the music video for 'ARCADIA', Lana Del Rey releases a new alternative version.
The soothing track is the first released from the highly awaited upcoming album Blue Banisters. A follow-up to the criticality acclaimed Chemtrails Over The Country Club - which was released just earlier this year in March- the singer-songwriter's eight-studio album is set to release on the 22nd of October.
Like the original version of the music video, the new take on ‘ARCADIA’ was directed by Lana herself. Both takes are bathed in sunlight and personal. The alternative version, though, keeps things more simple, focusing only on the singer as she performs; the original instead interlaying various pieces of footage in the background.
One of the most influential pop sensations of the last decade, the American artist has racked up a number of accolades over her 16-year long career, with over 90 nominations and 30 wins. Her wistful dream-like sound has influenced a number of artists, including Billie Eilish, Kevin Abstract, and the late XXXTentacion.
Last year, the New York native was the subject of controversy after being accused of glamorising abuse. She defended herself by stating that: "I'm fed up with female writers and alt singers saying I glamorise abuse when in reality I'm just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world."
