Irish band Lankum are set to play at one of Europe's most popular music festivals next summer. Announced today, the Dublin group are set to appear at the famous festival where artists Lana Del Rey and SZA will be headlining.

The contemporary Irish folk group Lankum, consisting of two brothers Ian and Darragh Lynch, alongside their bandmates Radie Peat and Cormac Mac Diarmada, have had an extraordinary year, having been shortlisted for the Mercury Prize for their album False Lankum, which was met with hugely positive reviews from major international outlets, including The Guardian, Pitchfork, Mojo and Uncut.

The 22nd edition of the Barcelona festival is set to kick off next year from the 29th of May -2nd of June.

Since 2019, the Catalan music festival has made a commitment to have 50/50 gender parity in acts headlining the festival. The 2024 line-up continues to honour this commitment with the lineup for the next edition of Primavera Sound once again demonstrating a commitment to equality with 42.36% female artists, 42.36% male artists and 15.28% mixed projects.

Aside from headliners Lana Del Rey and SZA, the 2024 lineup is set to demonstrate a wide range of talent in the music industry, featuring performances from Charli XCX, Pj Harvey and Mitski.

Some returning acts who are Parc del Fòrum favourites are Pulp, who are returning to what fronman Jarvis Cocker describes as his favourite festival. Indie pop band Vampire Weekend are set to play their peppy and preppy tracks, sixteen years after their first and only performance at the Parc del Fòrum.

While American rock band The National will feel totally at home on the Primavera Sound stage, having attended the festival multiple times before.

Sharing the announcement on X, Primavera Sound said of the line -up unveiled today 'Say Yes to Heaven' - a quote from Headliner Lana Del Rey.

This is the first time Lankum are set to grace the stage at the Parc del Fòrum.

Registration for pre-sale tickets is open on the Primavera Sound website until November 22nd at 23:59pm. Pre-sale tickets will be available on November 23rd at 11am while general sale tickets will be available from Friday at 11am.
