"We are absolutely gutted to be pulling out at this late stage, but unforeseen family circumstances have left us in a position where we are unable to travel to Portugal," the band said in a statement posted to X.
Lankum announced yesterday, via social media, that they will not perform at this year's Primavera Sounds Porto, which kicks off in Portugal today.
The Dublin folk outfit cited "personal reasons" and "unforeseen family circumstances" for their withdrawal.

The Mercury Prize-nominated quartet were due to play today, Primavera Sound Portugal announced that Mallorcan artist Maria Hein will perform in their stead.
Lankum also mentioned that their extenuating circumstances will not affect their slot at In The Meadows festival this Saturday, comprising a line-up co-curated by the band.
