Their NPR Tiny Desk performance is one of many recent highlights for Lankum.
Dublin folk heroes Lankum are billed to play the Other Voices 'Courage' series tonight, live from Kilkenny Castle.
The band are known for combining traditional folk roots with contemporary undercurrents, creating a mysterious sound that has catapulted them to critical and commercial musical success.
Comprising brothers Ian Lynch (uillean pipes, tin whistle, vocals), Daragh Lynch (vocals, guitar) alongside Cormac Mac Diarmada (fiddle) and Radie Peat (harmonium, accordion, vocals), Lankum embrace earthy, human grit and intangible, otherworldly textures.
Their third full length album The Livelong Day - released on Rough Trade Records at the end of 2019 - won the band the coveted RTÉ Choice Prize in 2020.
The album blends alternative folk and psychedelia to cement their reputation as one of the most talked about bands to break the mould within Ireland in decades.

After spending years gaining fans inside Dublin's folk and experimental scenes, their previous two albums Cold Old Fire (2014) and Between The Earth and Sky (2017) breathed new life into ancient/modern rituals.
Their NPR Tiny Desk performance is one of many recent highlights for Lankum, who have enjoyed a busy few months with the release of their third album, The Livelong Day.
The album was named Hot Press 'Folk Album of the Year' and also took home the 'Album Of Year' crown at the Choice Music Prize, as well as picking up the top prize in the Europe category of Songlines Music Awards back in May.
Lankum will stream from the Other Voices YouTube channel, tonight (Thursday June 25) at 8pm from Kilkenny Castle.
The RTE Player and Facebook live will also broadcast the performance.
The 'Courage' series is being supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, RTÉ and IMRO.
The first series of the show is currently being shown on RTÉ Two on Thursdays at 11:30pm.
