The title track and its music video will be out on February 28.
Limerick singer Laura Duff has announced the release of her debut album Sea Legs, set for May 2025. She also revealed that the title track will arrive on February 28, accompanied by a music video.
The single will mark Duff's first release since her 2021 EP Heavy Summer. Sea Legs was recorded as part of an extended 12 month session in Knockaderry, Co. Limerick with producer Mícheál Keating.
Duff studied music in UCC and was selected as the Paul Clancy Songwriter of the Year at 2015’s Irish Youth Music Awards. More recently, in 2021, she was selected as a Circuit Festival’s Music Project Awardee and an Arts Council Agility Awardee.
"Sea Legs and the album as a whole is an exploration of loss, memory and the spaces that shape us", Duff said.

"It’s been a deeply personal process, so I feel very lucky to be collaborating with and surrounded by close friends in bringing each element of this album to life. It’s taken time to get to this point, but we needed to allow for that time and space. I'm excited to finally start sharing the work, I hope it resonates with those who hear it.”
The music video was shot and directed by Graham Patterson, and features a number of key locations around West Clare.
"I wanted to respond to 'Sea Legs' by embracing the seaside locations of West Clare that colour and shape both the song and the album; embedding Laura within the landscape, and using her personal phone footage, to speak to her connection to these places", Patterson explained.
