The Birmingham soul singer has dropped a pop gem.
British R&B singer Laura Mvula has released a new track from her upcoming comeback album Pink Noise.
'Got Me' is the third song out of what's due to her third studio release, a follow-up from her 2016 effort, The Dreaming Room.
The track conjures up early Michael Jackson hits, such as 'Wanna be Startin' Somethin' or 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', but with a modern pop twist.
Previous releases from Pink Noise due to be released on Atlantic Records, include 'Safe Passage' and 'Church Girl'. This is her first release on Atlantic after being let go from her previous label, Sony, in 2017.
In 2016 she vented to Hot Press's Colm O'Regan about some people's perceptions because she holds a degree in music composition from Birmingham City University.
"I start to overthink it, that maybe I need to dilute things, or find ways to reach an audience that might not necessarily listen otherwise." she said.

"It really messed me up. It just wasn’t the way to go – it felt like hitting my head against a brick wall.”
She spoke before her appearance at Glastonbury in 2016 about issues with the music industry at the time, saying that it was sexist and racist, calling the era the "Donald Trump time of music."
"The music industry is sexist, it is racist, it is a lot of 'ists'. Take your pick," she told Radio Times.
Pink Noise is due to be released on July 2.
