The story first made the rounds during the bank holiday weekend. Laura is usually guarded about her private life, but the story hit the tabloids after she told a friend about the new relationship.
Laura has since taken to Twitter lambasting the newspapers for running with what she believed was a private conversation and not for publication.
"He’s my boyfriend, and he’s lovely. I’ve even got him as my screen saver on my phone," the MTV star was heard saying while attending a gig, prompting the UK tabloids to run with the story.
The loved-up couple met at an ITV's after-party last year. But the Bray native is only going public with the relationship now. Laura told us this morning, "I am in a relationship and very happy."
The Sun newspaper told how Laura had never viewed the TV show 'Love Island' until Iain urged her to tune in.
"I had never watched 'Love Island' before, but I don't need him to give me spoilers because everyone from I'm a Celebrity works on it anyway," said Laura, who is the cover star on the current edition of Hot Press' 'Best of Dublin' magazine.
