Jay-Z labelled the accusations as a "blackmail attempt" in a statement
A lawsuit has emerged accusing Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000.
The accuser alleges she was assaulted at a house party which took place after that year's MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
Both Jay-Z and Combs - the latter of whom is currently in jail waiting trial after being charged with a number of crimes of a sexual nature - have denied the allegations.
The latest lawsuit was filed in October and refiled on December 8, listing Jay-Z as a defendant. It was filed by Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who has filed a number of lawsuits accusing Diddy of rape and assault.
Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, released a statement, describing the allegations as a "blackmail attempt".

"My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee," the statement reads. "What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
"No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!
"My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people."
Combs' legal team also released a statement, describing the claims as the latest in a line of "shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr Combs".
Sunday's legal filing states that the woman, referred to as "Jane Doe", was dropped off at the VMAS at the Radio City Music Hall in New York in 2000. According to the lawsuit, she approached limousine drivers outside the venue in an attempt to gain entry to the show, before a driver employed by Combs said she "fit what Diddy was looking for."
The lawsuit say that the chauffeur drove Doe to a party at a white house, where she was asked to sign what she believes to be a non-disclosure agreement upon her arrival. There were allegedly a number of celebrities present, and the girl claims she was offered a drink by a waitress which made her feel "woozy", before she went in a room to lie down.
The legal action says that Mr Combs and Mr Carter entered said room, alongside a female celebrity - who is described in the lawsuit as Celebrity B. The lawsuit says that Mr Combs approached the plaintiff with a "crazed look in his eyes", and that Mr Carter held her down and raped her, before Combs did likewise, as Celebrity B watched on.

The lawsuit, seeking unspecified damages, states that the plaintiff suffers from PTSD and depression as a result of the alleged sexual assaults.
