Bridges will play The Helix on June 26th, 2022 as part of his European tour.
Grammy award-winning artist Leon Bridges is set to play at The Helix on June 26th 2022 as part of his European tour.
Pre-sale tickets for the event will go live tomorrow (December 1) at 9am with general sale available on Friday (December 3) at 9am. Bridges will be supported by soul singer and self-proclaimed “song therapist” Kirby. Tickets are available here.
The forthcoming European and UK tour tour will be the R&B artist’s first trip across the Atlantic since 2018. Bridges released his latest album Gold-Diggers Sound this year and the record has been nominated for Album of the Year at the 2022 Grammys. He also received a nomination for Best R&B performance for ‘Born Again’ featuring Robert Glasper.
In his Hot Press review of Bridges' highly acclaimed album, Will Russel lauded the musical direction taken by Bridges on his latest LP:
“Gold-Diggers Sound is a modern R&B-soul album – with sprinkles of country twang. It captures all-night jam sessions at the East Hollywood speakeasy and studio of the same name, most vividly in the Ink collab ‘Don’t Worry’. True to form, Bridges has his own unique take on R&B style.”
Bridges opened up on his approach to making the record in an interview with Hot Press: “Basically, Gold-Diggers Sound is this multifaceted compound in East Hollywood,” he said.

“There’s a hotel, studio, and bar aspect, and I basically lived in, partied in and created music there. All of these songs were derived from improvisational jamming. It’s how people made music in the past, so it was really nice.”
The songwriter recently shared the deluxe version of Gold-Diggers Sound. It featured ‘Summer Rain’ — a collaboration with Jazmine Sullivan where the two fuse their inimitable vocals together.
