The much hyped collaboration between the Oasis and Stone Roses' musicians has been hailed by Gallagher as “the best record since [The Beatles'] ‘Revolver’”
A first single has been released from the collaboration of nineties rock music wet dreams; Mancunians John Squire of Stone Roses and Liam Gallagher of Oasis have joined forces to create a super duo.
'Just Another Rainbow' is a nostalgia fuelled guitar-heavy indie rock track, with a stronger Stone Roses bent than Oasis. It's off the pair new upcoming debut album, which Gallagher has described as "the best record since [The Beatles'] revolver".
In a post on X, when a fan replied with "Mate! That's a big statement", Gallagher quipped "What’s coming your way is bigger I’m being humble it pisses all over it".
The outspoken Oasis frontman also shared a teaser for the upcoming video to accompany the psychedelic track on the social media platform:

‘Just Another Rainbow’ comes ahead of what the duo promise as “more new music to follow as the year unfolds”. The single is available to pre-order on 7” vinyl here.
Gallagher has previously described Squire as "one of the best guitarists of his generation and in the world in my mind".
The singer said that he got a call from Squire saying that he was making new music to which Gallagher replied "I'm in, as long as there are lots of guitars".
Squire also holds Gallagher in high esteem describing him as: "one of the all time great rock and roll voices. I put him in the same class as Dylan, Lennon, Jagger and Rotten".
In 2007, Squire gave up music to fully commit to painting after the spilt of both the Stone Roses and his follow up outfit, The Seahorses. However he reentered music when the Stone Roses reunited in 2011. In 2016, they release two singles with ‘All For One‘ and ‘Beautiful Thing‘.

In 2017, Gallagher began his solo career with the release of his debut solo album, As You Were, which proved to be a critical and commercial success, reaching platinum in the UK.
The Oasis frontman will be hitting the road in 2024 once again to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Oasis’ seminal debut Definitely Maybe.
