Liam Gallagher is set for a hectic summer with an impending new album, gigs and a documentary film.
Former Oasis band mate Liam Gallagher announces a new single, 'Shockwave' out next month on June 7.
The single will feature in his anticipated second solo album, Why Me? Why Not.
Gallagher teased bits of the track on an Instagram Live.
For 'Shockwave', Gallagher collaborated with Andrew Wyatt - winner of Academy Award for Best Original Song as co-writer of ‘Shallow’ from the film A Star Is Born - and the multiple Grammy-winner Greg Kurstin who also produced the track.

“I’m buzzing,” Liam says. “Buzzing to be alive, buzzing to be making tunes, raring to go. It’s nice to be back with some new music because it means I can get out there, play some gigs and give some people some stick because that is what I do. Let’s face it, it’s boring without me.”
His debut solo album, As You Were peaked at number one on the album charts in both the UK and Ireland and was later certified platinum.

Liam's documentary 'As It Was' will premiere next week on June 6. He plays Irish Independent Park, Cork on June 23.
