Noel Gallagher hit back at his brother Liam for "trying to rewrite" Oasis' "dreadful" final year.
Oasis is back- sort of. Liam Gallagher has announced an upcoming Definitely Maybe tour, in celebration of 30 years of Oasis’ debut album, coming to Dublin's 3Arena on 23 and 24 June 2024.
However, when asked on social media if his brother and former bandmate Noel Gallagher would be joining him on the tour, Liam replied that Noel would not be there. "He’s been asked and he’s refused."

Though many fans were left disappointed by this answer, it was an unsurprising revelation. Since forming Oasis in 1991, Liam and Noel participated in years of heavily publicized feuding. Noel left Oasis in 2009, claiming at the time to be unable to "go on working with Liam a day longer."
Today, Noel spoke to the Daily Star to expand on his brother's claim.

"The last tour was not happy," he said. "The other fella is trying to rewrite history that it was all fucking great. It wasn’t. It was a fucking dreadful last year of Oasis. You get one shot at life. Why be unhappy? Whether it be in your personal or professional life, why? You’re just wasting a precious thing."
Both Gallaghers have seen widespread success in solo careers following the dissolution of Oasis: Liam has scored five UK #1 albums in just six years, and Noel is fresh off of a massive worldwide tour for his band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
The upcoming Definitely Maybe Tour will nonetheless be a celebration of their breakthrough album. “I'm bouncing around the house to announce the Definitely Maybe Tour,” said Liam Gallagher. “The most important album of the ‘90s bar none. I wouldn't be anywhere without it and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together."
