New track 'Chinatown' out now
Liam Gallagher has released single ‘Chinatown’ from upcoming solo album, As You Were, which is set to drop on October 6. Gallagher’s previous single release, ‘Wall of Glass’ is more heavy-hitting than ‘Chinatown’ which is acoustically-focused, revealing a softer side of the former Oasis frontman. The lyrics are reflective, Gallagher’s voice shines, and lilting guitar melodies and vintage synths tie everything together neatly.
Four tracks on the anticipated album are produced by hit-maker Greg Kurstin who has worked with Adele, Sia, Beck, and the Foo Fighters. The other tracks on the record were produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat, who has an equally impressive credit list with Radiohead, Circa Waves and Mumford and Sons.
Yesterday, Gallagher tweeted out the tracklist for As You Were with a little break to charge up his phone (Celebrities: They’re just like us!)
