Gallagher's tweets follow the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's announcement of their list of nominees for induction in 2025. Other nominees include Mariah Carey, Cyndi Lauper, Joy Division/New Order, Soundgarden and The White Stripes, as well as first-time nominees like Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, Outkast and Phish.
This was Oasis' second time being nominated for induction. After last year's nomination, Gallagher also shared his thoughts on X/Twitter.
"F*** the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG. You know it I don’t need some wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat,” he wrote on the platform, while also asking fans not to vote because "as much as it’s appreciated it’s all a load of bollox."

The 2025 induction ceremony for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles this Autumn.
Gallagher was also the subject of news on Monday, when he took to X/Twitter following the cancellation of thousands of tickets for the long-awaited Oasis reunion tour. "I don’t make the rules," he wrote, replying to a fan asking him about the situation. "We're trying to do the right thing, it is what it is, I’m the singer, get off my case."
The much-anticipated 2025 Oasis reunion tour is set to begin in August of this year.
The band have also recently announced an upcoming anthology album, Time Flies, set for release on Record Store Day 2025, April 12. The album will comprise the band's 26 singles.
