Liam Gallagher is also set to join Queens of the Stone Age, Post Malone, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Disclosure and Stormzy as headliners for Reading & Leeds festival next August.
Liam Gallagher has confirmed that his third solo album will be released in 2021, and that the first song from the work will be shared in 2020.
The former Oasis frontman released his critically-acclaimed latest LP Why Me? Why Not. last September, which followed on from his 2017 debut, As You Were.
A fan on Twitter questioned Gallagher on whether his third solo effort would be “coming out this year or next year”.
In response, Gallagher said: “Nxt year but I’ll give you a little tune this year to cheer youse up.”
In other news, Gallagher was announced as one of six headliners for next year’s Reading and Leeds 2021 festival yesterday, having been scheduled to top the bill in 2020 before the event was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.

“Reading and Leeds nxt year is gonna go off BIGTIME c’mon you fucking know LG x,” Gallagher tweeted after the line-up was unveiled.
Meanwhile, Gallagher has confirmed a new rescheduled date for his free London show for NHS workers, which was announced back in April and set to take place in October.
Now postponed until May 2021, the show will also feature Primal Scream as support.
