We Move the Needle marks the hip-hop artist's debut solo EP release with narolane, and follows on from his actual debut EPs Who’s Asking? Vol. I and Who’s Asking? Vol. II.
Limerick hip-hop artist God Knows has released his intoxicating, highly anticipated new EP We Move the Needle.
The four-track EP was dropped via narolane, God Knows' record label, created in 2019 with fellow Limerick musicians Denise Chaila and MuRli.
The Zimbabwean-Irish rapper shows a deep appreciation of South African youth culture throughout the EP, collaborating with the likes of Jah Master and Senita.
Inspired by the Amapiano house scene in Southern Africa, God Knows went on a journey of self-discovery to create We Move The Needle. Marrying his appreciation for South African youth culture with deep self-reflection, his own beliefs and unequivocally unique rap style, this amalgamation cooks up the perfect recipe for a mind-blowing EP.
Speaking about We Move the Needle, God Knows explained: "I have always been an action that speaks louder than words type of person and even more so when It comes to my career.

"I love art and artists that draw from real life. Every record that I put out reflects that reality. A bold statement like We Move The Needle is me stating what I in my opinion is what we do here at narolane."
This EP follows the release of dancehall-inspired single 'Twelve 61', which features on the EP and brought God Knows and Jah Master together. Fellow narolane creators Denise Chaila and MuRli also feature on the EP ahead of Chaila's performances at King John's Castle later this month and Electric Picnic in early September.
In 2020, God Knows’ debut solo EPs Who’s Asking? Vol. I and Who’s Asking? Vol. II blew up the Irish hip-hop scene, receiving immense critical acclaim. The artist has since released and featured on a slew of tracks, has toured across Ireland on Ed Sheeran's stadium tour, and appeared at Glastonbury.
The rapper was previously part of Rusangano Family, recipients of the Choice Music Prize for 2016’s Let The Dead Bury The Dead, the first ever hip-hop record to win the prestigious 'Album of the Year' award.
As the hip-hop scene takes off across the Emerald Isle, Hot Press is excited to see God Knows' career erupt with the release of his latest EP.
