Folk rock veterans Lindisfarne are set to perform at the Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The band's current line-up features original founding member Rod Clements (vocals, mandolin, fiddle, slide guitar) alongside long-standing bandmates Steve Daggett (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Paul Smith (drums), and Dave Hull-Denholm (vocals, guitars, piano), who is the son-in-law of the late Alan Hull.
Over the years, Lindisfarne have accumulated a number of hits, including 'Meet Me On The Corner', 'Lady Eleanor', 'Run For Home', and 'Fog On The Tyne'.
Clements stated: "People keep coming back to Lindisfarne live and while that carries on, we carry on.
"We're thrilled to be making a return trip across the Irish Sea. We played a number of dates in Derry and Belfast in 1971 with our manager and label boss Tony Stratton-Smith billing ours ‘The funkiest sounds since the Stones'!"
Their sound consists of combining acoustic instruments like mandolin and fiddle with their electric blues roots.

Clements acknowledges that Lindisfarne’s music was shaped by the traditional Irish songs he and band co-founder Alan Hull encountered in the folk clubs of Tyneside during the 1960s and ’70s.
He shared: "Our songs often have a strong narrative element and a rousing singalong chorus, and we've found on previous visits that Irish audiences really respond to that."
"We've been wanting to get back for quite a while and can't wait to play there again."
