Tradition Now will take place in The National Concert Hall as a multi-room festival.
Singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill with the National Symphony Orchestra and Erland Cooper have been announced as headliners for Tradition Now festival held in The National Concert Hall (NCH) on November 16 and 17 this year.
On Saturday 16 O’Neill will be making her orchestral debut playing with the National Symphony Orchestra.
They will be performing orchestrations by Terry Edwards, as well as work from O’Neills latest album All of This Is Chance.
Scottish composer Erland Cooper will be performing field recordings with traditional orchestration and contemporary electronic elements on the main stage on Sunday 17.
Other artists who will perform at the festival are uilleann piper Leonard Barry with Andy Morrow and Seamie O'Dowd, Nick Hart and Tom Moore, and electrofolk artist Frankie Archer, Irish-Swedish folk group This is How we Fly, traditional-ambient duo Rónán Ó Snodaigh and Myles O'Reilly and Swedish-Norwegian trio Ævestaden.

The John Field Room will host the John Field Room Sessions over the two nights, where musicians yet to be announced will be playing some of the composers famous work.
Lisa O’Neill has released five acclaimed albums to date, the last being All of This Is Chance released in 2023 on Rough Trade.
In 2019 she won the RTÉ Radio Folk Award for Best Original Track, has been nominated for several BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, and has been nominated twice for the Choice Music Prize.
Erland Cooper is a Scottish composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist originally from Stromness, Orkney.
He has released three acclaimed studio albums, with four additional companion albums and multiple EPs, and is a recipient of a Royal Television Society award.
Cooper is also a founding member of bands The Magnetic North and Erland and the Carnival with whom he has released five studio albums.
Day tickets for Tradition Now will be €30, weekend tickets will be €50, and discounts will be available for friends of the NCH and groups of 10 or more.
