Along with the single and self-directed video comes a London show announcement at Village Underground.
Dublin-based musician Anna B Savage has released her new single 'The Ghost' via City Slang Records, alongside a self-directed video.
Savage has also announced a London headline show at Village Underground on March 28th, 2023.
'The Ghost' was produced by Mercury Prize winner Mike Lindsay. Of the single, Savage says: "Exhausted from years of being haunted by an ex-partner, this song is a plea to let go, or be let go of. Exploring the particular cruelty of the human brain, that love can be felt so deeply, hurt so essentially and so much, and still feel so present many years later."
Of the video, Savage explained, "We wanted to explore a narrative where uncomfortable meets beautiful, and everything is alternately comforting and immediately strange and uncanny, like the tendrils of old love, once so joyous turned sour and frightening."
The singer's debut EP earned her a supporting spot on tour with both Father John Misty and Jenny Hval. Anna followed it up with the release of her debut album A Common Turn, which was praised widely as one of the best albums of the year by Loud and Quiet and BBC Radio 6 Music. 'The Ghost' is Savage's first release since 2021 EP These Dreams.
