One of Northern Ireland's most exciting bands to emerge in recent times, No Oil Paintings, have dropped the country-laced new track 'What Good Does It Do'.

Taken from their upcoming debut album, the self-recorded track showcases their tightly knit style of performing.

"The song is a personal admission of the futility of one's own anger and frustration,” reveals frontman Chris Kelly. "An enraged and impassioned plea for better temperament, delivered sonically with a fury equal to that which the song's lyrics portray."

The bluesy offering was recorded at Half Bap Recording Studios, mixed by Ben McAuley and mastered by Dan Coutant at Sun Room Audio Mastering in New York.

No Oil Paintings recently played Stendhal Festival back in July as part of one of the first music festivals on the island of Ireland since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Hot Press' Hannah Gibson reported from the exciting event, writing, "From the first soundchecks on Friday afternoon, an excited buzz hovered in the fields surrounding Ballmully Cottage Farm in Limavady, where the festival takes place. At Stendhal, nearly every performer stated their disbelief at being on a stage again, and many voiced how nerve-wracking it was to be once more looking into a crowd."
