The outfit continue work on the follow-up to their criticality acclaimed debut ‘The First Kiss of Love’ with a new single - slated for release in mid March.
Cronin have kickstarted 2021 with a cover of classic The Cure track, 'A Forest'.
The musical project comprised of Irish brothers Johnny and Michael Cronin was previously known as The Aftermath, which earned the duo critical and commercial success in the charts and radio.
Returning from the UK to their native Ireland in the early 2000s, the pair have since gone in another direction with new moniker Cronin.
Cronin unveiled a new video for previous single 'There's A Darkness' last September, but have now shared their unique rendition of 'A Forest'.
Mick spoke of creating the Cronin cover during a COVID lockdown:

"This was one of the first songs we started jamming to get the juices flowing after not seeing each other for three months when the first lockdown was lifted last year. We wanted to get back to the feeling of being a young band playing some of our favourite songs in a garage."
'A Forest' was recorded in Longford by Mick Cronin, and was mixed by Karl Odlum (The Frames, Glen Hansard) and mastered by Richard Dowling in Limerick.
The video was shot and edited by Mick Cronin from footage in the woods around Transmission Rooms and from their recent live stream gig in December.
The alternative rock/indie group released their most recent mini-album A View From The Next Room in July of 2020, and have continued work ever since. Along with Fiachra Milner and Brain Murphy, the Cronin brothers created the album at their own Transmission Rooms recording studio.
Cronin collaborate regularly with legendary Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan, appearing with him on studio sessions, live gigs and TV shows. In addition, they performed his classic 'A Rainy Night in Soho' at his wedding alongside actor Johnny Depp on guitar. The well-connected band have appeared on stage with Bono and Nick Cave. Pete Doherty has dedicated songs on stage to them, Noel Gallagher hid behind their CD cover to escape the London paparazzi and Niall Horan has attended their gigs.
