'2' is the next single off of milk.’s highly-anticipated forthcoming EP, due to arrive this summer.
Rising four-piece Dublin band milk. have teamed up with close collaborators Search Party Animal once again on their brand new single '2'.
'2' follows on from the outfit's recent singles ‘I Hate the Way You’re Looking at Me Lately’ and ‘You&I’, which built up impressive streaming numbers and radio play in the UK and Ireland.
The indie group shared their debut 'Drama Queen' and 'Temperature' two years ago, nabbing 'Ones to Watch' spots shortly after from numerous high-profile publications, including Hot Press' Hot for 2020 list.
Lead singer Mark McKenna is no stranger to music, having played a lead role in 2016’s hit Irish film Sing Street – fittingly about starting a band. Being featured on Spotify’s "New Music Friday" and "Fresh Finds" playlists has helped their debut single amass over 400,000 streams.
“2. is a track built on companionship," milk. comment on the track. "It’s based around sounds developing, changing and becoming more complex. To us, it sounds like having a good time with our people and reminds us what our friendships mean."
Founded by members Mark McKenna, Conor Gorman, Conor King and Morgan Wilson; milk. launched on New Years’ Day in 2019.

“I often feel like songs are made by an initial spark of an idea that all other ideas can be pulled from," Adam Redmond of Search Party Animal says of the song.
"The instrumental in the track is based on that concept. When that one idea is constantly being elaborated on as the song progresses, I find it very intuitive and rewarding to work that way.”
