The Irish Women in Harmony singer is gearing up for her upcoming EP.
Rising star of Dublin's R&B scene, Erica Cody, has dropped what she dubs a love-struck new single, 'Back to Basics'.
Her second single of the year, following on from 'Better Days' back in July, recounts the moments in romantic love when everything seems easy by just focusing on you and your partner.
"Nothing needs to be complicated when you can keep it simple," Cody says of her new track.
"Love can be complicated but only if we make it that way. When you take it back to basics and ignore the outside noise that’s when it works best."
The song is the first taster from her forthcoming EP out later this year.

Cody has already had a busy year so far, releasing 'Only a Woman' as part of the Irish Women in Harmony collective.
That track was a new rendition of the iconic, 'Only A Woman's Heart' written by Eleanor McEvoy.
The group is best known for their charity cover of 'Dreams' by The Cranberries last year, which raised over €200,000 for Safe Ireland, the domestic abuse support group and charity.
Speaking of their success on the anniversary of the single artist and founder of Irish Women In Harmony, RuthAnne Cunningham said, “I can’t believe it’s been a year since the Irish women in music came together to do this.
As a collective to collaborate and create something that had such an impact whilst raising money for such an important cause, honestly, is something we are just so so proud of. We hope to continue to empower more Irish females in the future.”
