Celebrated punk-poet and pioneer of the spoken word Ian Wills has collaborated with godmother of Irish music – Moya Brennan - for new Christmas single, 'Mercy's Door'.
Ian Wills has been receiving high acclaim since 2005. With debut album Kerbside picking up the prestigious accolade ‘Pick of the Fringe’ at the Edinburgh Festival, his band were championed by Janice Long on Radio 2, and, while sharing a radio show with the legendary Les Paul who described on air how the lyrics to ‘21st Century Love Song’ were among his favourite in recent times.
Following this, Ian had a number of performances at the Royal Albert Hall, the Isle of Wight Festival, and, with his 4th album ready for release, he continues to be one of the country’s most challenging and important artists.
For his latest single, Ian Wills has collaborated with the legendary Moya Brennan for a song which is haunting and lyrical.
