Iggy Pop has released his cover of Leonard Cohen’s 2016 single 'You Want It Darker.'

The version will appear on Blue Note Records’ upcoming collection of Cohen covers, Here It Is: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen.

Cohen's album, also called You Want It Darker, followed the title track in October 2016. The next month, Cohen died at the age of 82.

“There’s nobody like Leonard, not in the whole world,” Iggy Pop said in a press statement.

Here It Is: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen is out October 14. The album, produced by Larry Klein, features contributions from James Taylor, Peter Gabriel, Mavis Staples, Norah Jones, Sarah McLachlan, and more.

12 tracks covered from across his career will including ones from his 1967 debut, Songs Of Leonard Cohen.

Last month, a new documentary on Cohen, titled Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song, was released, focusing on his life and career through the focus of his most famous song.
