The four-track EP will drop on September 3rd.
Leslie Dowdall has previewed the lead single, ‘Goodbye,’ from her upcoming EP Brightlight which will drop on September 3rd.
‘Goodbye’ has not received an official release but is available to stream on Youtube. The track is a gorgeous showcase of the talents of Dowdall as she grapples with love and loss.
Dowdall made the EP with the help of Peter Eades who has previously worked with Irish folk legends such as Finbar Furey and The Dubliners.
The album was conceived and recorded during lockdown as the songwriter drew on the emotions of these turbulent times,” as stated in a press release. The record sees the former In Tua Nua member “conquering love, loss and letting go.”
Dowdall has embraced the chaos of Covid in recent times as she made Zoom a “part of the creative process” whilst making the album and performing in virtual concerts. The Dublin native took part in Rock Against Homelessness and Rathfarnham Rhythms earlier this year.
