Lewis Capaldi's debut album is out May 17 via Virgin EMI.
Lewis Capaldi has dropped new single 'Hold Me While You Wait' ahead of the May 17 release of his highly anticipated upcoming debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
Capaldi's last single, 'Someone You Loved', enjoyed a No. 1 spot on the charts in Ireland for six consecutive weeks, and his 2020 UK and Ireland arena tour has already sold out. The 21-year-old singer/songwriter is one of the first artists to announce an arena tour before releasing an album.
"'Hold Me While You Wait' is a song I wrote about the uncertainty of being in a relationship when your partner isn’t sure what they want," explained Capaldi in a statement. "There’s an impending hopelessness to the whole thing, on both sides, when they’re not sure whether they want to be in that relationship or not. For me it’s one of the most desperate places you can find yourself in."
