The new single, ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME,’ is the latest song from the indie-rock band’s imminent third album, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.
So far, 1975 has released the singles ‘Love It If We Made It’ and ‘Give Yourself A Try.’ The new album is reportedly being released in November of this year.
As well as A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, the band have also teased a fourth album which is expected in May 2019.
The Mancunian group consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matty Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel. Their self-titled debut album was released in September 2013 and topped the UK Albums Chart in the same month. Their second album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, released in February 2016, also topped both the UK Chart and the US Billboard 200.
On BBC Radio 1, Matty Healy said: “This song is just about fun, and relationships, and life. This is like the one 1975 song that I’ll listen to when I go out for a run and stuff like that. I love songs like ‘Girls’ and ‘The Sound.’ They may not be our most scathing, but they’re our most fun.”
