Listen to the new track from the Anomaly artist below.
Following the release of his ecstatically-received Box Room EP, Irish hip-hop artist Pat Lagoon is back – joining forces with London-based rapper Project on 'Prada'.
The release sees The Goon, who was tipped as one of the Hot Press 'Hot for 2020' Irish acts, continuing to defend his title as the champion of the South East's hip-hop boom. Showcasing his unique ability to transcend subgenres, the heartfelt track sees The Goon and Project reflecting on their journey, over a menacing beat from TunesOnTick.
"No matter where you go your upbringing and place of birth never leaves you," Pat reflects."It’s what shapes your perspective growing up and developing as a person, and I feel in ‘Prada’ you get Project expressing his experience since moving to England as an Irish, and myself stating it’s not just about securing yourself but making people close to you proud that you’ve secured yourself."
"I’ve been living in Ireland for eighteen years and I’m in a unique position being black and Irish trying to make some waves," he continues. "Project, TunesOnTick (Producer), Sickstee (Engineer), and I have been friends for ages and practically started making music around the same time, so to have this track ‘Prada’ with such close people means a lot to have out."
