'Air Bnb' is the latest track from Gordon's upcoming solo debut.
Ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated debut solo album, No Home Record, Kim Gordon has taken aim at the gig economy with a new single 'Air Bnb'.
Gordon, who is synonymous with the iconic band she co-founded in 1981, Sonic Youth, announced her first ever solo album earlier this year. Set to be released on October 11, No Home Record was produced by Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Ariel Pink, Sky Ferreira) at Sphere Ranch in Los Angeles, and also involves contributions from Shawn Everett (Jim James, The Voidz, The War On Drugs) and composer/filmmaker Jake Meginsky (L'appel Du Vide).
"Why a solo record?" Gordon mused in a statement about the release. "And why now? I don't know, but it wouldn't have happened without the persistence of Justin Raisen. Living in LA the last few years, it feels like home, but the transience of the place makes it feel sometimes like no home."

Back in July, Gordon launched her solo exhibition, She bites her tender mind, at IMMA in Dublin with an intimate live performance. Featuring a series of new works, including previously unseen paintings, drawings and ceramic sculptures, alongside a glitter installation and an immersive video projection, the exhibition is set to run until November 10.
