The Australian psychedelic band will also embark on an extensive tour in 2022 but they won’t be visiting Ireland.
Tame Impala have released their brand new single ‘No Choice’ from the deluxe version of 2020's The Slow Rush.
Tame Impala — the brainchild of Australian multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker — are also set to go on a worldwide tour in 2022 but they won’t be coming to Ireland. Parker and the band will kick off their tour in America before visiting Europe, the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
The new single won’t be the only new offering from Tame Impala on the deluxe box set edition of The Slow Rush. It will include another unreleased song ‘The Boat I Row’ and 2019’s ‘Patience’ along with a host of remixes.
Since the arrival of the record last year, fans have been eager to hear what’s next from Parker and co. Back in June, they teased new material with a cryptic promotional campaign.
The group shared a teaser video for a mock pharmaceutical drug called Rushium featuring Parker ambling through the desert in trademark Tame Impala psych-soaked visuals. The video ended with the caption “Phase 1 Clinical Trials Begin 09/2021". ‘No Choice’ is the first piece of new material the Australian outfit have shared since.

The pop-rock band have released a number of remixes of cuts from The Slow Rush since it dropped. This included a Blood Orange rehash of the record’s biggest single ‘Borderline'. Parker also linked up with Lil Yachty for a remake of ‘Breathe Deeper’ back in October as well as dropping a Four Tet remix of ‘Is It True’ last year.
