Detroit's finest entreat fans to a collection of bone-chilling garage-rock tunes.
Boo! It's the spookiest day of the year, and blessing us with gut-busting new music is Toeheads with a fresh EP entitled 'Together Now.' The garage-punks have garnered a mythical reputation in Detroit for their incendiary live performances and theatrics. Featuring fan-favorite tunes like 'Dead Malls' and 'Glue Factory,' the EP is a further testament to the group's greatness.
Last year, Toeheads dropped Basement, a record that has already reached cult-classic status in their home city. Following its release, the trio took their music on the road in May, which expanded their fanbase even further.
Just last night, decked out in costumes and all, the band played a Halloween show to celebrate the EP's release.
Speaking on the EP, chief songwriter Jake Aho (or Jake Toehead as he is credited) explained, 'I wanted this to capture how you would hear us at a show. Live tracking and mic’ing up everything.' Hinting at more music on the way he continued, 'I wanted to get this out to give people some new stuff and also give me the proper time to flesh out the next LP.'
