'Get Out of Your Own Way' is the second single from the band's upcoming 14th album, Songs of Experience.
The uplifting single, which can be heard below was given its world premiere on BBC Radio 2's Drivetime with Simon Mayo today.
The companion album to 2014's Songs of Innocence, which documented the group's upbringing in the 1970's, Songs of Experience will be released on December 1st and has been written as a series of personal letters to people and places close to Bono, including family, friends, fans and himself
Recorded in Dublin, New York and Los Angeles, Songs of Experience was completed earlier this year with its subject matter influenced by Brendan Kennelly’s advice to Bono, to “write as if you’re dead”.
Produced by Jacknife Lee and Ryan Tedder, with Steve Lillywhite, Andy Barlow and Jolyon Thomas, the album also features a cover image by Anton Corbijn of the band-members’ teenage children Eli Hewson and Sian Evans.
The band already shared the first single, titled 'You're The Best Thing About Me' on September 6th and a performance video of the song, 'The Blackout'.
