The Donegal musician - real name John Doherty - will be performing the shows as a solo artist.
Originating from the coastal town of Killybegs, Little Hours was the brainchild of friends John Doherty and Ryan Mc Closkey until the latter threw a curve ball into the mix in September of last year, departing from the band - albeit on good terms - citing new career moves as his motive. The news represented a shock at the time, particularly given the group's success in the relatively short period of time they'd been operating. They had released their self-titled debut EP in 2014, the result of which saw their track 'It's Still Love' receive a nomination for the Choice Music Prize's song of the year as well as ample radio play on the Irish airwaves, and went from strength to strength, with Ryan's time with the band being capped off with a slot on the main stage of 2017's Electric Picnic.
Little Hours have not allowed the shock to stop their progression however, and remaining front man John is back after having performed a spate of shows in the summer to perform a couple of solo acoustic gigs in celebration of the release of his new Acoustic Live At The Attica EP. The shows will come at the intimate setting of the Boys School at Smock Alley Theatre on Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th of October.
Delighted to announce two very special, intimate shows in @smockalley on Oct 25th & 26th!

The nature of the gigs being acoustic means that attendees can expect some stripped back versions of some of Little Hours' biggest songs, as well as some new material that is set to be featured on his upcoming debut album, which is due for release on Rubyworks next year.
