John Doherty, lead singer from 'Little Hours' speaks to Hot Press about opening up for Gavin James at the Trinity Summer series.
I had actually been a huge fan of Gavin James before we met. We became friends when I supported him at the R—is’n Dubh a couple of years ago and we continued to meet up after - so we've been good friends for a few years now. It's one of those things: everyone knows everyone on the Irish music scene. His album is amazing. Bitter Pill is one of my favourites.
As for Trinity, it's going to be a big show for us. Playing it as a band will make it a lot more dynamic than it would be with just the two of us. There's going to be some upbeat stuff Ð hopefully songs people will recognise, as well as some newer tunes that we've been working on over the last couple of months. We're so excited about playing it.

At the moment, we're doing a lot of writing and working in the studio. We're planning new releases for the end of the year, with the intention of finishing a new album. I'm dying to get an album out Ð we have so many songs ready to go. I feel like it's the best stuff weve ever written.
