The new edition of the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series continues tonight – supported by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht.
Donegal singer-songwriter Eve Belle has built up an enviable reputation with a string of acclaimed releases and opening slots for her Rubyworks labelmates Hozier and Wyvern Lingo. She released her debut album, In Between Moments, last month.
The rising pop singer may have had some internet trouble, but she gave a rousing rendition of 'CutThroat', a cover of Paramore's 'All I Wanted' and finished off with a beautiful performance of 'Begging For Rain' from her recently released, critically acclaimed debut album.
Giving a shout out to her 'emo kids', Eve Belle was debating covering Phoebe Bridgers but a poll on her Instagram chose the Paramore track from Brand New Eyes instead, with 'All I Wanted' proving a notoriously difficult song to sing.
The musician's voice sounds as effortlessly smooth and silky as ever, showing off her impressive vocal range with ease.
Her soulful, R&B-esque vocals mix perfectly with her clever lyricism and catchy pop tunes, making it a memorable livestream show for fans of her eagerly-awaited first album.
