The Bronx-native took to the stage of Dublin's historic theatre to twerk, dance and rap
On Tuesday, Ice Spice performed at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre for her first ever headline gig in Ireland.
The viral star presented tunes that helped her skyrocket into internet stardom, as well as newer tracks from her new album Y2k! which features notable hip-hop artists such as Travis Scott, Gunna and Central Cee.
Fans waited outside of the venue in Temple Bar, many holding flags with Ice Spice's on them, showing their dedication to her fandom.
Two DJs hyped up the crowd for the Bronx native's performance, I immediately was stuck by the ornate upholstery of 3Olympia, juxtaposed with the DJ's choice of American Hip-Hop music, 'Loyal' by Chris Brown.

The crowd was particularly excited when the DJ's played Travis Scott's 'Fein' which has been the subject of Tiktok memes.
Ice Spice greeted fans on stage with a giant inflatable doppelgänger behind her onstage, and began performing 'Popa' with backing vocals from her longtime collaborator and boyfriend Riot. She was wearing a purple crop top and short shorts, matching her tall, edgy new rock boots.
During her viral song 'Munch (Feelin’ U)', Ice welcomed energetic backup dancers to her performance. The track is a clear a confidence bop for the rapper, who avidly twerked and pranced around the stage while performing the tune.
She spoke to her fans saying, "Thank you for coming to spend time with me tonight, ya'll mean so much to me you don't even know."

As the lights brightened to a neon pink, Ice started her song 'Barbie World', with her and her dancers taking on doll-like movements. Despite being drill rap, the song and performance were lighthearted, fun, and frankly, adorable.
The whole performance Ice donned a big smile. Her energy was infectious, and the same can be said for the energetic crowd that beamed back up at her.
'Boy's a liar Pt. 2' was a divergence from the drill pop feel of the performance, being a more moody emotional song about heartbreak. The choreography became more fluid, and Ice appeared more serious during her rap portion.
'Princess Diana' brought back the high-energy songs, with Ice taking stage on her own, practically yelling the jumpy rap track. Her twerking became more excited, and billows of smoke rose from the stage as she jumped about.
It was clear that the rapper loves interacting with fans, glancing at the crowd she said "I might come down there with ya'll" before security aided her offstage, and led her through the front of the crowd. She greeted each section individually, and I happened to snag a photo with her right before she returned to the stage to finish her set.

After her set was finished Ice posted videos of her Irish fans on social media, and took the time to interact with fans waiting for her outside, and giving out autographs.
Overall I found Ice Spice's set to be whimsical and fun, and it was clear why the star has amassed such a large fanbase.
