Irish Women in Harmony delivered an awe-inspiring set Electric Picnic 2023 on Sunday, celebrating music legends with messages of unity and empowerment.
The main stage came alive with the sweet-sounding voices of Irish Women in Harmony this Electric Picnic Sunday.
A collective of some of Ireland's most gifted female artists, they come together through mutual artistic support and in their overarching mission- amplifying awareness for women and children in crisis situations.
The scorching Stradbally sun saw fans scuttling for shelter in the blotches of shadows cast by the giant stage equipment.

Kicking off their performance with a U2-heavy medley, the group quickly demonstrated the array of talent among its members. The backing band were excellent too, providing the backbone which allowed the collective chorus to shine that bit brighter.
Their cover of 'Giving Me' by rising Dublin artist Jazzy underlined their support for women looking to cut their teeth in the Irish music industry, but it was their homages to some music legends that stole the show.
A touching tribute to Aslan's Christy Dignam with renditions of "Crazy World" and "This Is" was warmly received.
The pinnacle of their set was undoubtedly the series of dedicated songs to the late Sinéad O'Connor. Group member Emma Langford poignantly remarked that, "She paved the way for the artists you see on stage; her legacy will last forever."
Beautiful renditions of 'Mandinka, 'The Last Day of Our Acquaintance, 'Óró Sé Do Bheatha Abhaile,' and the iconic 'Nothing Compares 2 U' had the crowd mesmerised.
The afternoon show marked a significant milestone for Irish Women in Harmony. Not only was it their first live collective performance of this stature, it also gave them the chance to deservedly celebrate their incredible contribution to the domestic abuse charity, Safe Ireland, for whom the musicians have raised a staggering €250,000.

Their commitments to vulnerable communities and each other, along with their seemingly bottomless pool of talent, makes each member of Irish Women in Harmony an exemplary feminist role model.
A bright beginning to the Sunday festivities.
