Donegal native Jason Flynn took his busking energy to the Internet stage for a stunning performance on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E Series last night, supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
Jason Flynn is a busker par excellence – and that quickly became clear last night as he weaved through a beautiful acoustic set on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E series, supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
Kicking his set off with two originals before moving into a stunning cover of Springsteen's 'I'm On Fire', his raspy, classic rock voice took centre stage. After an original called 'Do You Miss Me Now, When You're Gone', Flynn bantered with the online audience, joking about his Mam joining the stream while answering fan questions.
He also took The Fray's 'How to Save A Life' and turned it on its head, giving the booming rock song an acoustic treatment before closing with another soaring original. Overall, it was a very impressive performance.
