Owens is currently touring across the UK, Europe and North America.
Kelly Lee Owens brought the heat to Dublin’s The Button Factory on Monday.
Taking the stage just past 9 p.m., the electronic musician and producer donned a matching leather top and pants. Her energy was palpable from the jump, accompanied by striking visuals on the large screen behind her. The words “WANTING PURE EUPHORIA” flashed on stage, sampling lines from her song ‘Love You Got.’ The introduction blended expertly into ‘Dreamstate,’ the title track off her most recent 2024 album.
The London-based artist stood between two dj controllers, frequently leaning into the microphone to sing. ‘Dreamstate’ provided a misty, euphoric atmosphere, full of layered sound and heart-thumping bass.

Owens’ vocal prowess was put on full display with stand-out track ‘More Than A Woman.’ Her voice had that eccentric quality similar to Grimes, gliding smoothly over a heavy, dynamic beat.
“How you guys doing?” she asked the crowd. “Having fun?”
The answer was clear: the entire audience bobbed with movement and energy. Gold glitter visuals spiraled on screen, pulsating with light. Owens rocked up and down as she performed, lost in a dreamscape of her own creation. The distorted sound and psychedelic images behind her made the experience hypnotic and otherworldly, with each new song building into a flawless beat drop.
“I love Dublin so much, thank you for everything,” she said.

Clouded by smoke and shadow, Owens began the song ‘Evolution’ off her debut self-titled album. Earthrattling bass shook the building, as the performer confidently strutted towards the audience.

“Evolution!” Owens shouted. “Be the fucking revolution!”
Singing and dancing with fans, red and white squares flashed behind her on screen.
“Are you guys ready to dance?” she asked, before playing ‘Love You Got.’ The electronic-dance track roused the already excited crowd, who thrived off her commitment to sonic excellence.

“I promise you we’ll dance again,” she said, before slowing it down to perform ‘Ballad (In The End).’ The song’s hopeful energy displayed Owens’ life-affirming commitment to love and new experiences. The artist sang with arms outstretched, her stage presence and visual effects making her appear almost holy.
Another highlight was her 2019 track ‘Let It Go,’ with the artist’s voice repeating the title hypnotically over a gnarly beat. Many of Owens’ songs featured no lyrics, letting the pure sound speak for itself. Folks of all ages partied along until she finished her set, giving life to their Monday night.
