Watch Lauren Ann's electric performance on the Hot Press Y&E Series – supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media...
Following the release of 'Don't Take It Out On Me' and 'How It Works' in 2020, Northern Irish artist Lauren Ann returned with 'Angel Eyes' earlier this year. And on Friday evening, the 18-year-old graced the Hot Press Instagram to perform a set on the Y&E Series.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Nirvana, Pixies, No Doubt and Suede, Lauren crafts a sound that feels both fresh and nostalgic. Following her lauded set at Stendhal Festival last month, Lauren has firmly established herself as a remarkable rising star.
Her set started off with some technical difficulties, but she was back on track in no time, performing a cover of Nirvana's 'Lithium'. From there, she moved into a 90s-inspired cover of Big Thief's 'Paul'.
Closing her set with the soon-to-be-released new single 'Lucy', Lauren gave audiences a taste of what's to come.
Watch her incredible set below.
