Lemoncello closed off the first week back for the second series of our Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series – which is generously supported by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht – with a beautiful set in an unexpected spot.
Beamed direct to devices everywhere from the bathtub, folk duo Lemoncello performed a gorgeous set on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series yesterday evening. Laura Quirke and Claire Kinsella are rising to new heights in 2020, having been nominated for 'Best Emerging Folk Act' at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards 2019. Last March, Lemoncello released their exceptional sophomore EP, Oil & Water.
After joking with the audience, the duo opened with 'House of Cards' from that selfsame EP before moving into 'Jacket In The Sun'. After that came the stunning title track, 'Oil & Water', before the girls played a brand new track called 'Dopamine' and finished off with 'Libra', another stunning track from Oil & Water.
Watch the performance back below, and be sure to check out the rest of the sessions this week!
