Revisit the acclaimed singer-songwriter's set on the Y&E Series below – supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
Following the release of her lauded second studio album, Getting Comfortable with Uncertainty, earlier this year, Megan O'Neill continues to establish herself as one of Ireland's most compellingly original artists, with a stellar set on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series on Friday evening.
Bringing a taste of Nashville to the series, Megan kicked off the set with the stunning folk-country track 'Strangers Before We Met' – one of the stand-outs from her new album. As well as accompanying herself on guitar, she showcased her piano skills on 'Underrated' and 'Winter Sun'. The latter is a powerful ode to Ireland, written when she was living abroad. She went on to further explore her relationship with her country on her track 'Ireland', before sharing a remarkable cover of Bruce Springsteen's 'I'm On Fire' – capping off an unforgettable set on the Y&E Series.
"I'm very excited to get back to actual real-life gigs, but for the moment, being able to do one in your gaff – without high heels on – is pretty nice!" she said.
