19 year old singer-songwriter Robbie Monaghan left Y&E series viewers blown away with his soothing acoustic sound last weekend.
After kicking off his career at just 12 years old, busking on the streets of Galway, the young singer-songwriter made it to the semi-finals of X Factor: The Band in 2019 – and is rapidly establishing himself as a star-in-the-making.
For his first song, Monaghan delighted his audience with his debut single 'Sorry' released this March. The Galway musician brings a youthful and energetic energy to this upbeat tune, hooking us with its infectious chorus.
His next song, 'Still Wish We Were Together', is an unreleased track that transports listeners back to the complexities of young love and heartbreak. Monaghan drives the song home with a melodic bridge that packs an emotional punch.
Robbie Monaghan surprised us with a song he hasn't really played in front of audiences. Titled 'You Don't Even Know', this track rocks our world with catchy guitar strumming and pulsing lyrics.

His next tune, 'Jumpstart'. is one of the first that he ever wrote and is one he has always loved to play. Combining a sweet sound with heartbreaking lyrics and a stripped back chorus after the bridge, 'Jumpstart' weaves together raw storytelling to create a compelling track.
Monaghan wraps up his set with three more songs, 'Blossom', 'Replaying The Moments', and 'Paradise'. These tunes showcase the musicians years of experience in the business with fun vocal riffs and cleverly written musical lines.
Despite his age, this young musician's strong suit is a consistent sound across his repertoire, something that takes many musicians years to master. And yet, each song has a unique spin on it, proving Monaghan will continue to create new original music for years to come.
