The Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E series is supported generously by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht.
The Y&E Series is back and better than ever. Kicking things off last night was Saige, a Wexford-born baroque pop artist whose unique sound, influenced by the likes of Hozier, London Grammar and the xx, has already marked her as one of the most captivating new voices on the Irish scene.
Beginning with her high-energy current single 'Late Nights', Saige brought her band and her infectious energy to the Hot Press Instagram. After performing a stripped back version of her first single 'Soothe Me,' she moved into an excellent cover of Radiohead's 'Creep'.
After breaking out the synths for 'Ultraviolence', Saige showed off her impressive range with an acoustic cover of Maggie Rogers' 'Light On', and then signed off with an acoustic version of her forthcoming single.
