Sive took to the virtual stage last night for a beautiful set on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series, supported generously by the Department of Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht.
After a bit of an Instagram hiccup, Sive took to the Hot Press stage – from her home, of course – to perform a stunning set
Over the course of her career, Sive has shared stages with the likes of Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey, Mick Flannery and Christy Moore – before joining forces with artist-led collective Veta in 2018, and exploring thrilling new directions in her sound with co-producer Matt Harris.
Opening with the eerie and ethereal 'If I Had a Home To Go To', Sive showcased her kalimba skills. She moved straight into a new tune called 'Beara', about the queen of winter, and also shared 'Do It All The Time', which she played on the ukelele.
Watch the video back below, and be sure to check out the schedule for the rest of the week.
