Last night on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E Series, supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Dublin electronic duo SYLK brought Berlin to the IGTV.
SYLK will be familiar to Hot Press readers – the Dublin-based duo were tipped by the magazine last year as one of the most exciting acts in Ireland. But if last night's virtual gig was your first taste of SYLK, you're only at the beginning of the roller coaster, so buckle up!
Bringing their moody electronic bangers to the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E Series in certainly one of the most high-tech performances to date, the duo turned our IGTV into their own personal rave.
Complete with throbbing neon lights, vocalist Taylor worked the "stage" while producer Bebhinn worked the sound desk. The show reached boiling point with the group's Berlin nightclub, industrial-inspired 'Cigarettes and Sex'.
Take a look at the performance below, and keep an eye out for the rest of the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions Y&E Series performances, every night at 19.30.
