Energetic, enthusiastic and eccentric, the young British band leave lasting impression on the Dublin faithful
British pop-rockers The Vamps took to an impressively structured and neon lit custom stage in Dublin's 3Arena last night - and left quite the impression by the time they left it again.
Often frowned upon for their bubblegum pop-like image, as well as the audience they tend to attract, the quartet's high-energy and enthusiastic performance argued otherwise, suggesting the group deserve a little more respect than they're currently receiving.
'Rest Your Love', their second to latest single, was the show's opening number as things began with a bang; pyrotechnics and orotund vocals filled the arena as thousands of fans swooned at Bradley Simpson on Lead Vocals, Tristian Evans on Drums, James McVey on Guitar and Connor Ball on Bass.
This was followed by their track 'Cheater', then a stand-out mash up of several songs. These included; Justin Bieber's hit track 'Sorry', Twenty One Pilots' chart smash 'Stressed Out', One Direction's 'Perfect', The Weeknd's 'Can't Feel My Face' and finally, singer-songwriter Shawn Mende's number one 'Stitches'.
Frontman Simpson made a lasting impression from the outset of the show. He was extremely energetic and knew how to please the crowd of young teens, pre-teens and even those younger whom surrounded him.

Another stand out element of the show was the brief breaks the group took in between numbers in order for video clips to be shown to the audience. One of the video clips included a clip of all four members speaking about how they came to form the group which they are today.
The group were eager to show just how grateful they are to be in the position they are in; James McVey, the band's lead guitarist, throwing out heartfelt gratitudes throughout. "The Vamps really is not just us four boys, It's everyone who picks up an album, buys a ticket to our concerts, buys our singles."
New Hope Club, a band consisting of three members - Blake Richardson, George Smith and Reece Bibby - surprised the crowd and joined The Vamps onstage for their hit 'Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)'. Signed to Steady Records, a company owned by The Vamps themselves, they won themselves a few new fans to boot.
The show closed with 'Wake Up', one of The Vamps' most recent releases. The track has a revolutionary vibe to it, rather than a typical love song and this was relayed remarkably in their performance.
