The American pop star's upcoming album will be her first major-label full-length release.
Minneapolis-based singer and rapper Lizzo has announced that her new album, CUZ I LOVE YOU, will be released on April. The project will be her first full-length release since signing to Atlantic Records in 2016. Shortly after signing to the major record label, Lizzo released her Coconut Oil EP.
The musician's brand of pop/alternative hip-hop, with uplifting messages encouraging body-positivity and self-love, has already earned her a steadily growing legion of fans. Lizzo's previous full-length albums, Lizzobangers and Big Grrrl Small World, were released to critical acclaim in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Lizzo announced the upcoming album release, as well as a tour kicking off in April. While the dates will mostly be confined to North America, Lizzo's European slots are set to include appearances at The Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands, Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, and NOS Primavera Sound in Portugal.
