Lizzo has prveiosuly covered Styles' 'Adore You' and BTS' 'Butter in the lounge.
Lizzo didn’t disappoint when she took to the Live Lounge to cover Smith and Petras’ smash hit ‘Unholy’. In Live Lounge tradition, the 34-year-old made the song her own when she added a flute solo to it.
She also took the opportunity to perform her recent record’s titular track, ‘Special’ in the Lounge.
Lizzo has previously covered BTS’ ‘Butter’ and Harry Styles’ ‘Adore You’ in past appearances at the BBC Radio One Live Lounge.
The pop icon also performed at the BRIT Awards last week, delivering a show-stopping performance where her audience were treated to a medley of Special hits, including ‘2 Be Loved’ and ‘About Damn Time’.
Smith and Petras were also at the awards to perform ‘Unholy’ on the night. Donned in leather and black outfits, the two took to the stage in front of a seedy-designed garage set-up. Petras emerged from underneath a car to begin her part while Smith sang on the back of a motorbike as their collaborator sang.

While the performance received 106 Ofcom complaints, over what exactly, remains unclear, but it follows a similar trend which saw right-wing commentators and theorists accuse the artists of performing a Satanic ritual during their Grammys performance.
The Church of Satan weighed in on the performance’s backlash, deeming the show nothing particularly special”. Magister David Harris chimed in also adding “It’s sad when politicians on a national stage use someone’s religion as a punchline.”
